This is a mousse-like lip product on a sponge applicator in a tube. It is matte, and if you play your cards right (good color selection and more), you will get a natural look. This product can last a while, even as you might lick your lips. And it isn't as some matte lip products tend to be. I added a lip pencil and some gloss, and WOW! it is so pretty; it is just that I am older, and my lips are not as defined as they were years ago. If you want to minimize the fullness of your lips, you might love these! The shade I got was too gray and more yellow-beige than the nude I would have liked. Try a more profound, pink or peach, or defining shade if you want more color.This will wash off easily if you like. As a gift item, this might be nice in a goodie bag with a gloss and a pencil to be on the safe side (best of both worlds). However, this little box is quite handy to wrap.
